Virtual Open House Greeting

Open House Greetings from some of the Specialist/Resource Teachers at SHES. Although we aren’t able to greet you with a smile in person tonight, we still wanted to say “Hello” and make sure that you could put a face with a name and know who we are.  Please let us know if we can ever do anything for you or your children and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns that you may have.  We hope you have a great Virtual Open House with your homeroom teachers tonight, and we are looking forward to a great rest of the Fall Semester with you all.

Information for e-learners from Specials Teachers

Hello Sleepy Hill e-Learners!

We just wanted to make sure you were aware that you should be enrolled in a Schoology Course for Art, Music, and PE.
In your e-Learning schedule you have a block time for specials daily; you should have 1 day for Art, 1 day for Music, and 3 days for PE.

Each week there will be a variety of activities and lessons for you to complete, with 1 required assignment that will be turned in for grading each week.

As we are all teaching both in-person and online, we may not always be available to answer questions or return assignments immediately, but will do our best to get back in touch with you within 24 hours.

Please feel free to reach us in the most convenient way for you. (Schoology Message/Comment, Class Dojo, Text Message, Phone Call, or E-mail)

Vision Statement

At Sleepy Hill Elementary, it is our vision that a rigorous, relevant curriculum, enhanced by technology that will assure our students achieve skills necessary to succeed academically and become life-long learners. Consistent integration of technology throughout the academic day will promote our students to become self guided explorers of the vast amounts of information available at their fingertips.  We will unite parents, faculty and community members to establish an atmosphere of mutual acceptance, ongoing interest in high levels of academic achievement, and a sense of community for all.   The realization of this vision will allow our learning community to interface with technology for a more fulfilling exploration of their global world.
